Hey everyone! We're participating in Reflections! Jump in and join us!
That's Sandy trying to be silly, like we're all going for a ride somewhere. :) But really, I want you to be able to see whether we've received your school's Reflections registration here at Wake County PTA.
As of right now, while I'm typing this, here are all the schools we've received registrations from:
If you're on this list more than once, it's probably because you registered more than once and Sandy didn't delete the duplicates. It could also mean we have old information about who your chair is. We'll get it cleaned up! Just bear with me. I'm a PTA parent too, still recovering from the start of the school year and the sudden return to less sleep. And yes, I started this paragraph in the third person and then switched to first person. Forgive me. I have good intentions!

Just so you know, the list doesn't auto-update, so give me a little time to add you after you register. We need your registration information so we can send your school's winners on to the state level. That's why we make you register. I'm nothing if not transparent.
I'm also working on some handouts for our 9/17 Reflections training. I'd love for most schools to have already started their programs by then because September 17 is really far away! We'll have posters and information for you to take back to your schools, but please come with your questions too.
Reflections is super fun and nowhere near as complicated as all the rules make it seem. I promise. We'll help! It'll be great!

Have you attended the North Carolina PTA's required Reflections training for 2026-27 participation yet? There is ONE MORE SESSION available, on September 12 at 10 am. Register here: https://bit.ly/ReflectionsChairSeptember122026 . If you cannot attend, please send someone else from your school to check in.
Great news!! The Wake County PTA is WAIVING ALL COUNTY REFLECTIONS PARTICIPATION FEES for 2026-27! Due to our healthy financial situation and our desire to encourage ALL schools to consider participating in Reflections, we will be voting at our September 17, 2026 meeting to confirm that schools will not be required to pay the traditional additional $25 fee to participate in Reflections this year! We are hoping this will eliminate any barrier to schools participating and encourage every PTA and PTSA in Wake County to offer Reflections to their students this year!
Come join us on September 17, 2026 at Crossroads II for our annual Wake PTA Beginning of Year Training and General Membership Meeting. Reflections will be there giving out swag (ok, ok, it's advertising poster for you to bring back to your schools) and to answer any and all questions about Wake Reflections participation for this year's "What My Culture Means to Me" Reflections program! We really hope to see you there! For those who cannot attend, please email reflections@wakepta.org and reflectionstech@wakepta.org at any time with any questions! Remember to register below for all three links and that all school winners are due to Wake County on November 1st this year!

NC PTA Required Reflections Training:

NC PTA requires all chairs to attend one of the above sessions.

This celebration is for Reflections winners, school Reflections Chairs, participating faculty, administrators, and their families.

Wake County PTA Council 2025–2026 Reflections Honorees: “I Belong”
Wake County PTA Council 2025–2026 Reflections Honorees: “I Belong”
We are excited to share this year’s Wake County PTA Council Reflections honorees. Across Wake County, students submitted more than 500 entries from 60 different schools, with artists ranging from age 4 in Pre-K to 18-year-old high school seniors. The range of participation shows just how meaningful the arts are to students and families throughout our community.
This year’s theme, “I Belong,” inspired thoughtful, creative work in every category. We are proud of each student artist who took the time and energy to create art to share with their schools and with us! Narrowing this down was no easy task, and we are grateful our judges for their hard work!
All first-place honorees (listed as “Winners”) have been advanced to the North Carolina PTA for state-level judging.
Everyone named on the attached winners list is invited to our Reflections Awards Celebration on April 18, 2026 at Farmington Woods Elementary School, along with their families and all Reflections Chairs. Save the date! Additional details and an RSVP link will be shared in the new year.
Thank you to all of the school PTA Reflections Chairs for supporting and encouraging student artists across Wake County. This program would not exist without your dedication.
